What to Expect in Therapy

Life can throw unexpected changes your way, leaving you feeling unsteady, confused, or unsure of where you stand.

I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can reflect on your experiences, whether it's something recent, from the past, or a feeling that's difficult to put into words.

Together, we'll work to make sense of what's happening for you and support you in understanding your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

I tailor our work to your unique needs, helping you explore your experiences, relationships, and patterns, in a way that feels right for you.

What Our Sessions Feel Like

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're not quite sure what to expect. My aim is to create a space where you can feel at ease, and begin wherever you are.

Working with me, you can expect:

  • A safe and non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings openly.

  • An easy-to-talk-to, down-to-earth style that helps you feel at ease from the start.

  • A genuine trusting connection, allowing you to open up at your own pace.

  • Space to untangle what's on your mind and begin to make sense of things.

  • Support to build resilience and sit with difficult emotions, rather than feeling overwhelmed by them.

  • Opportunities to reconnect with what matters to you, without pressure or expectation.

  • A collaborative approach, where we focus on what feels significant to you, while also allowing deeper reflections to emerge and offer gentle challenge when helpful.

I offer both in-person counselling in Worthing and online sessions, creating a space where you feel heard, accepted, and free to explore whatever is important to you.

My Approach

At the heart of my work is the belief that you already hold a sense of

what feels right for you, I’m here to help you understand and make sense of it.

My approach is humanistic, person-centred and integrative, combining methods to respond to your individual needs. This allows us to work in a way that feels authentic and supportive.

I draw on relational methods, to build a trusting connection, helping us notice patterns in how you relate to yourself and others.

I also integrate elements of transactional analysis to explore patterns

in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, helping you gain insight and

understanding over time.

Throughout our work, the therapeutic relationship remains central,

offering a consistent space where you can reflect, process and begin

to make sense of your experiences.

Specialising in Life's Major Transitions

Navigating Cultural Transitions & Belonging

Cultural transitions whether in workplaces, communities, family dynamics, or when relocating can feel disorientating.

Having lived in three different countries, I understand how challenging it can feel to adapt and feel like an outsider.

I help clients navigate change, work through feelings of displacement, and find a sense of belonging and balance.

Managing Fertility, Infertility and Parenthood Challenges

Drawing on my own fertility journey, including IVF and parenting after infertility, gives me unique insight into the emotional complexities clients may face.

I provide a compassionate space to process grief, guilt, or loneliness, and I help clients adjust to parenthood, whatever that may look like for them.

Exploring Relationships and Sexuality Safely

I’m passionate about creating an inclusive space where clients can safely explore relationships, sex, and sexuality.

With training in gender, sexual, and relational diversity, I offer open-minded, non-judgmental support to help you feel seen, understood and validated in your experiences.

Adjusting to Life Changes, Loss, and Rediscovery

Adjustment, loss, and rediscovery are universal experiences and support can help navigate them.

I warmly welcome individuals facing significant life changes, such as career changes, identity questions (including LGBTQ+), relationship transitions, or processing grief and loss.

I'll be alongside you, helping you navigate the emotions of change, process grief or uncertainty, and find ways to move forward with clarity and resilience.

Let’s Take the Next Step Together

I'll be alongside you from the very first session.

Your introductory session is an opportunity to explore what's on you mind and see if we're a good fit.

To book your session or ask a question, please email me and I'll respond within 24 hours.
