You might be here because something in your life has
shifted, and you're not quite sure where that leaves you.
Maybe you've moved, changed direction, or found yourself in a place you never expected.
You could be feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain, trying to hold it together on the outside while something feels persistently wrong on the inside.
If any of that resonates, I'm glad you're here.
I'm Iva, a BACP-registered counsellor in Worthing and online. My passion is supporting people through these complex experiences.
What I bring
Some of what I bring to this work comes from my own lived
experience.
I've navigated moving countries and the disorienting process
of rebuilding an identity somewhere new.
I've been through my own fertility journey, including IVF, and I can relate to the grief, the uncertainty, and the questions that don't always have clear answers.
These experiences mean I understand, not just professionally
but personally, what it feels like when life shifts in ways you weren't prepared for.
I'm not afraid to sit in the difficult, uncertain, in-between
places with you. I know what it's like to be there, and I know how much it matters to have someone who won't flinch.
I also bring over 15 years of professional experience in
social care and education, including working with neurodivergent young people and those with complex needs.
More recently I have spent over two years working
directly alongside women experiencing domestic abuse and coercive control.
I am trauma informed in my approach, which means I
understand how difficult experiences live in the body, mind and relationships, enabling me to work holistically, with care, compassion and safety.

My core qualification is a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am BACP registered and fully insured.
My BA in Anthropology and Gender Studies laid the foundation for the way I think about identity, culture, belonging and gender, themes that
run through much of my work today.
I am committed to continuous professional development and
regularly undertake training to deepen my practice.
My CPD includes:
Trauma-Informed Practice,
Gender, Sexual, Erotic and Relational Diversity (GSERD),
Privilege and Otherness in Counselling and Psychotherapy,
Integrating Creative Methods in Counselling and Psychotherapy,
Neurodivergent Affirming Practice
Domestic Abuse and Coercive Control
